EYFS Mathematics develops secure early foundations in number, numerical patterns, shape, space, and measure. Children learn to count confidently, understand quantity, and apply simple calculations while also recognising patterns and exploring spatial awareness.

Every child starts with a Diagnostic Test to identify their current level — what is secure, what is developing, and where support is needed. At EYFS, this is carried out through gentle, observation-based interaction rather than formal testing.

Every child follows their own structured Learning journey. Skills are taught step by step from number recognition/bonds, counting, addition, subtraction, word problems and reasoning.
Children take ownership of their own learning through simple agreements, setting goals and celebrating their progress.
Children work towards Mathematics Milestone through attaining Certificates on addition and subtraction. We are here to celebrate with you.
